Iquique

 Well, My big sister lives in Iquique... very in the noth from chile, so close to Perú. She decided to study in that city because we have close relative there so she wouln't be so lonely. My parents  did always take us from that place when we was child, my father really love the sea and that particular city, Iquique is so beautiful! I am sure that my sister chosed this place  for all the nice memorys that we have (all my family).
Us grew up and all of we are in difrent citys, I am in the capital, my parents in Calama, another sister in Antofagasta, and my little brother want go to Serena. But every summer, we return to Iquique, my sister have a hause there... so we have a place to stay. And sometimes... we go to lunch, after the beach, to a place so close to "playa brava"  I can't remember the name, but is something like the sea, in this place they have tradicional food, fished, and mollusc, and jaiva pie,  but the most interestin is that they have dish from the old SALITRERAS, things that the pampinos ate, and the "american boss" and people that has more money than the rest, but, however, dish from  so many times ago, local food, vegetals, and interesting combinations. You know....  the people there had to be very smart because they don't have money, and the "pulperias" were from that fuckin people to exploited the pampinos. They lived the "cuestión social" they had nothing to put in their pot....
Anyway, this place have things from that time, in his wall,  and little books that related some historys, and the food! sea food, so wanderful,  "rich dish" that was dificult to find in that period,  but the "pour dish" things that the women improvised in the same period.
They have a exquicite pasta, with chesee and shellfish. That is sublime.
